For roughly seven years, independent wrestling fans worldwide were WELL aware that if you put Cesaro and Sami Zayn in a pro wrestling ring against each other, magic would happen. In both Ring of Honor and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, the duo had "Match of the Year" caliber matches against each other (ROH in 2007's Race to the Top Tournament Finals, PWG in 2011's Battle of Los Angeles tournament's first round), thus making their epic series of matches in NXT not-so much exciting, as more "par for the course."
