10 Indy "Veterans" Making WWE TV Very Watchable Right Now

By Marcus K. Dowling /

1. Xavier Woods

Xavier Woods is everything that's right about pro wrestling in one manager-in-tights. Six years of indy wrestling experience and being an intelligent Ph.D. candidate who loves going to comic conventions and playing video games may make him not just WWE's most interesting man, but also it's most over performer. Currently on WWE television, Xavier Woods is allowed to cosplay, play a trombone, make meme-friendly pop culture references and cut non-scripted promos...at the same damn time. Amazing. It's in the fact that he's paired with his shoot friends Kofi Kingston and Big E in the New Day that makes all of this more amazing, too. The force of two wrestlers led by a lifelong pro wrestling fan doing weird things that don't even make sense in the nonsensical world of pro wrestling is -- if you listen closely to the live crowd -- changing WWE one "New...Day Sucks" chant at a time. It's nothing short of mind blowing.
