Undeniably, Bill Goldberg was one of WCW's biggest success stories - like a bolt of lightning, Goldberg instantly felt fresh and vibrant when he first crash landed onto TV, but just like a lot of good things which the promotion would create, they didn't really know what to do with big Bill after the initial buzz began to wear off. This is criticism often brought up when fans discuss WCW, but Goldberg's WWE career stunningly followed the exact same path. For one night, Goldberg was the man however, interrupting The Rock's celebration following his victory over Steve Austin the previous evening at Wrestlemania XIX. Fans reacted in kind, recognising that this is exactly what Goldberg should be, a man of little words, but big actions.Declaring that The Rock was next, the live crowd were in raptures for the newcomers, and it seemed like WWE had a massive opportunity for money on their hands - there was no way wrestling fans wouldn't stump up cash to see Goldberg collide with the likes of The Undertaker, The Rock and Triple H, right? His WWE tenure would only last one year, but it was his first five minutes on Raw which would last longest in the memory.
