It's absolutely astounding to imagine, but WWE officials didn't have a long term plan for the 'Anonymous' Raw GM when the angle launched. Instead of finalising exactly who would be exposed as the background authority figure, the promotion simply decided to figure it out at a later date. That's why fans were left disappointed when Hornwoggle was revealed. Beginning in June, 2010, Michael Cole started reading out unnamed emails from a mystery source claiming control of Monday Night Raw. The gimmick would run right through until 2011, when it was largely phased out. Returning in 2012, WWE decided to try and add some closure to the story. This was achieved by outing Hornswoggle as the man behind the messages. Obviously, fans were left dis-heartened by this revelation. It was a very poor pay off for what was one of the biggest focal points of Raw for over a year. Santino Marella assured everyone he'd get to the bottom of the conundrum. This eventually led to Hornswoggle being dragged from underneath the ring, holding a laptop computer. This plot point was the very definition of unfulfilling.
