10 Last-Minute WWE Survivor Series 2016 Predictions

3. Brock Lesnar Defeats Goldberg

Undoubtedly the biggest match on this Sunday’s card is the megastar main event between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg. However, I’d also say it’s probably the most predictable of the lot if we sit down and think this one through.

Even though this is Goldberg’s big return, at the end of the day he’s still only a part-time attraction. Add to that the fact that he’s pushing 50, and there’s not a great deal of long-term value in him.

I guess you could level a similar argument against Lesnar, considering how limited his own schedule is. But given that he’s a whole decade younger than Goldberg, you have to think that Lesnar’s going to be around a while longer. And even more importantly, WWE has invested an insane amount of time and effort—not to mention the ending of the Undertaker’s Streak—into building up Lesnar into this unstoppable force.

It’s seems almost impossible to believe that they’d throw away all of that momentum for the sake of giving Goldberg a win. Irrespective of who the babyface is and who’s the one making his big return, I can’t see anything other than a Lesnar win when all is said and done on Sunday.
