10 Last-Minute WWE TLC 2017 Rumours You Need To Know

More changes before kick-off?

Rumour became reality on eve of TLC with the news that Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt are going to miss this weekend's pay-per-view through illness.

While they're resting up in bed, it will be Kurt Angle and AJ Styles taking their place, the Raw general manager set to wrestle his first WWE match in 10 years in the main event, with the Phenomenal One filling Bray's shoes against former NJPW foe Finn Bálor.

The announcement has transformed TLC from a largely forgettable card to one that could now live long in the memory (although hopefully not as the show where soon-to-be-50 Kurt Angle did something completely insane off a ladder).

But last-minute surprises such as these doesn't stop the rumour mill spinning, with many reputedly in-the-know online sources still convinced that WWE could have one or two more tricks up its sleeve as it prepares for the last stop en route to Survivor Series.

However apocryphal-sounding some of them may be, 22 October is undeniably now a must-see wrestling occasion if for no other reason than the fact that one of the industry's greatest ever peformers is about to put on his singlet once again.

10. Change Of Stipulation

Aditya Rangarajan of Sportskeeda believes that Roman Reigns' absence this weekend could force WWE into a last-minute stipulation change for the TLC main event.

It is suggested that, instead of a sudden death match, they will fight under elimination rules, giving the face side the chance to even the scales by taking out a couple of their opponents early doors.

Here's another possibility: The Shield, not exactly known for playing by the rule-book, could go as far as to attack one of their opponents backstage in the build-up, locking them away for the duration of the main event to give themselves a better chance of winning.

Of course, underhanded tactics of this kind shouldn't really sit well with Kurt Angle, who - lest we forget - is still supposed to be an impartial Monday Night Raw general manager as well as an honourary member of the depleted Hounds of Justice.
