10 Live Observations From WWE Glasgow

10. Selling WWE Network Subscriptions In The Street

As we approached the venue on Saturday, there were five or six men and women in WWE hoodies with clipboards trying to stop fans on their way into the building. As my friend and I got closer, we were stopped and asked if we'd subscribed to the WWE Network.

We told the lovely young lady that we were long-term subscribers to the Network and she immediately asked us if we shared an account or had individual ones.

I've always thought that there could be other avenues where WWE could pimp out the Network to their fanbase so they might just be onto something here. The employees were giving people all the info on how to sign up for their free month or helping them do it on their mobile devices.

Carrying this out before every event seems like marketing 101 for WWE.

Midway through the show, an ad for Camp WWE (starring Vince McMahon, Roman Reigns, Ric Flair and a ton of others) was aired, too. Seems like a smart move on the company's part to have snippets of shows that fans can watch on the Network as a way to entice them.

Hopefully this will translate into some more subs and we can finally get The Undertaker to agree to go on the Stone Cold Podcast!
