Without a doubt the least heralded name on this list, The Renegade is one of those characters that the war between WCW and WWF brought up that is best left forgotten. He was WCW's parody of/homage to Ultimate Warrior, with long hair, tassels, mannerisms and music all similar to the WWE hero. Hulk Hogan even hyped up his debut by describing him as the 'Ultimate surprise'. Of course, this whole schtick grew tired very quickly, and Renegade was relegated (renegated?) to jobber status. He was released from his contract in 1998, and would shoot himself just a few short months later. Another sad story of a wrestler dying before his time. His TV title run began by defeating the legendary Arn Anderson at The Great American Bash in 1995. After defending the belt for three months, Diamond Dallas Page would end his reign at Fall Brawl. That was as good as it got for The Renegade.
