3. The Great Khali vs. The Undertaker SummerSlam 2006
With nothing settled after the Punjabi Prison match, SummerSlam was the logical place for The Great Khali and The Undertaker to settle their issues once and for all. The Undertaker chose the stipulation this time, challenging his fearsome foe to a Last Man Standing match. The problem was that, much like with Nathan Jones, WWE got cold feet when it came to letting Khali perform live on Pay-Per-View. The match was moved to the August 18, Smackdown the episode directly preceding SummerSlam where it aired in its edited form. The final version was a fine match that saw The Undertaker deal Khali his first defeat following a Chokeslam. Still, with the match taking place on Smackdown, one of WWE's top stars was completely removed from the second-biggest show of the year. Khali would get knee surgery after the loss before heading to ECW, while The Undertaker would move on to a feud with the marginally-more talented Mr. Kennedy.
