Since his initial WWE comeback last year, Rob Van Dam's returns have fallen victim to fan disinterest and poor booking. It's symptomatic of working a part-time schedule, as WWE only likes to invest in full-timers, but it's particularly sad in the case of a man who was once pro wrestling's most exciting competitor, and has proven he can still go. A big surprise return can really spark interest in another RVD run. Before he left in August, Van Dam found himself a foil for The Authority, and it seems like a good role for him to continue to play - he could certainly transition into a feud with Randy Orton, as the two have worked together memorably in the past. While Hell in a Cell matches aren't particularly conducive to interference, RVD could play the spoiler who stops Kane from aiding Orton, or stops Orton from aiding Rollins in the main event. Either way, a match between "Mr. Pay-Per-View" and "The Viper" seems like a strong addition to Survivor Series.
