Why not start with the only actual legitimate wedding that took place on WWE television? In late 1985, hillbilly Uncle Elmer wed his real-life girlfriend Joyce on Saturday Nights Main Event. Although it was filmed as an angle (complete with Piper interrupting the ceremony and Jesse Ventura mocking them via toast), it was the real thing. The wedding didnt lead anywhere big, and Uncle Elmer was gone shortly after competing at WrestleMania 2, but it was still a first for WWE. Maybe it has something to do with Vinces fascination with hillbillies that he chose this couple to wed on TV, but nonetheless, it has its place in WWE history.
