The Vickie Guerrero we know today is nothing like the Vickie portrayed on television when Eddie was alive. She was a victim of Eddies lie, cheat and steal persona during the abysmal Custody of Dominick storyline with Rey Mysterio. She cost Eddie the ladder match at SummerSlam, pushing over the ladder (which came after a missed cue and an infamous tirade from Eddie on camera) and ensuring the Rey kept custody of his son. What made bringing Vickie into the storyline significant is that it required retconning Eddies entire Latino Heat persona from his earlier WWE days. Suddenly, his time pursuing Chyna as his mamacita either doesnt make sense, or it takes on a completely different significance when you see Vickie leading their two daughters to the ring on Smackdown. Vickie of course would go on after Eddies death in 2005 to become one of the biggest heel heat machines in WWE. Its doubly sad to think about Eddies passing and how this could have been a true WWE power couple throughout the late 2000s as Vickie came into her own.
