10 Memorable WWE Matches From Forgettable Pay-Per-Views
10. Chris Jericho Vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin (Vengeance 2001)
You'll know about this match if you've heard any Chris Jericho promo ever.
Vengeance 2001 is most famous for being the scene of Y2J's victory over Steve Austin, becoming the first ever Unified WWF Champion in the process. Jericho had won the WCW Championship from The Rock earlier in the night and then defeated Austin to capture his WWF title, bringing the two belts together in a truly history-making moment.
Sadly for the rest of the show, this was pretty much the only exciting thing that happened all night.
The whole card was essentially built around the Undisputed title tournament, so its hardly surprising that none of the other matches were anything to shout about. Even the semi-finals of this tournament - Austin vs. Kurt Angle and Jericho vs. The Rock - were nothing spectacular compared to the final.
Still, this is a truly memorable show for the main event alone, all thanks to Y2J. According to him, anyway.
