The New Day are so hot as a heel trio that they're about to turn themselves from effective heels to comedic babyfaces. WWE could've saved them from comedy mid-card hell if the winner of the recent Money in the Bank Ladder Match were Kofi Kingston instead of Sheamus. Sheamus holding the briefcase didn't even inspire the referee a few weeks ago on TV, as Sheamus' ill advised cash-in attempt wasn't even registered because it looked like the referee was actually OVER-selling how stunned he was that Sheamus wanted to cash it in. However, imagine The New Day's Kofi Kingston holding the briefcase. As weel, imagine the comedy of Xavier Woods putting it over, plus the moments when Kofi would say, ask Big E to protect it as he worked singles matches. The New Day have the tag straps. Giving them the THREAT of having the World Championship in their stable gives them the edge that draws away their current ultra-comedic tinge. This is a massive opportunity to make the again deserving Kofi Kingston into something more.
