It was the King of the Ring PPV, and a Special Olympian was sitting right behind the barricade to watch his favorite wrestler, Shawn Michaels, take on Steve Austin.
Shortly into the match, however, the kid became over-excited. He jumped the barricade and made his way towards the ring. The guards swarmed him, and Michaels interrupted his match to make the sure the security guards went easy on the kid.
Later, Michaels went back outside the ring, and walked the kid up the ramp to make sure that he was safe. By all accounts, Michaels was a pompous jerk during this time period, but this right here was a perfect example of his class and empathy.
