10 Most Ambitious WWE Shows Ever

10. Untitled MCG Show

You gotta admire the audacity of a company that's going to try to fill 100,000 people in a stadium in Australia for a wrestling show.

It's been reported that WWE, in conjunction with Visit Victoria, is planning a special October PPV at the MCG arena in Melbourne, Australia. The cricket ground is the home of various Aussie football clubs and the Australian national cricket team. Its highest attendance post-configuration was a whopping 100,021 people for the 2017 AFL final. Needless to say, it's a big ol' venue.

Obviously, WWE has ran some pretty big venues in the past, particularly WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, which drew around 93,000 people. Obviously, coming close to that number in Melbourne, especially on short notice with a show that doesn't have WrestleMania's cache is going to be challenging.

However, wrestling is seeing new waves of popularity worldwide, and with Australia always being a good market, especially recently, with an emerging Independent circuit and successful New Japan tours. So if they can stack the card with high profile names, WWE at least have a decent shot at breaking the Melbourne attendance record Ronda Rousey set with her UFC fight against Holly Holm.

Either way, expect WWE to inflate the actual numbers in their typical fashion.
