10 Most Anticipated (Unlikely But Not Impossible) Wrestling Matches Of 2017
10. Ric Flair Vs Bobby Roode
We thought we'd start with a very bold (and glorious) prediction.
Ric Flair is supposedly retired from in-ring competition. However, his retirement at WrestleMania 24 actually lasted all of a year as he left WWE and worked matches on the independent circuit and then in TNA. Of course, WWE never acknowledge those matches on television but it shows Flair's desire to once again step back in the ring.
We have a funny feeling that the bug hasn't gone away for Flair and, if the opportunity arose, he would work a WrestleMania or Summerslam match without hesitation. If he did come out of retirement, there's only one man he should face; Bobby Roode. Former TNA champ Roode has taken NXT by storm with his robe wearing, conceited gimmick, a character change which is clearly heavily influenced by 'The Nature Boy' and would make him the perfect foil should Flair fancy one more WrestleMania moment in 2017.
