The Road Warriors are one of the most legendary tag-teams of all time. Even when later known as The Legion Of Doom in the WWF, Road Warrior Hawk and Road Warrior Animal were tremendously well-respected, not to mention immensely popular with fans of all ages. Kids loved the face paint and colourful outfits, whereas adults knew they were going to see some ass-kicking action when the boys from Chicago were in town. Tragically passing in 2003, Hawk left a legacy on tag-team wrestling that may never be replicated. Alongside his partner, Animal, the pairing won titles in pretty much every promotion they worked under, a historic career which WWE wanted to honour by having John Heidenreich become a member of the infamous team. Something about that sentence simply doesn't add up, but WWE went the whole hog with their idea, having Heidenreich and Animal capture the WWE Tag-Team Titles. Not-so-shockingly, fans were appalled, realising that Heidenreich wasn't anywhere close to being on the same level as The Road Warriors. This remains a blighted moment in WWE history, and a complete affront to the legacy of The Legion Of Doom.
