10 Most Boring Wrestlers Of 2016
10. Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler's feud with The Miz, which wrapped up at last Sunday's TLC Pay-Per-View, was probably the best program of the entire year. It's a good thing, too, because without it, Dolph would have easily topped this list.
Apart from The Miz program, "The Showoff" had a dismal 2016, most notable for an interminable feud with Baron Corbin. The program between the two men started the evening after WrestleMania and went all the way to Money in the Bank, with three bad PPV matches resulting from the affair. Dolph's lame babyface jokes and hard-to-get-behind character made "The Showoff" who captured the World Heavyweight Championship on Raw in 2013 feel like an entirely different wrestler.
After that, Dolph and his Motley Crue-lite gimmick were shoved into a post-split WWE World Championship feud with Dean Ambrose. The entirety of the (thankfully) brief program focused on Ambrose criticizing Dolph for being more concerned with stealing the show than winning matches. Dolph promised to do both at SummerSlam. He did neither.
Without The Miz to work with in 2017, it'll take a miracle to keep Dolph away from the top of next year's list.
