10 Most CRINGE Things Wrestling Fans Always Say

10. “Wrestling Was Better In My Day!”

Wherever there is a modern PPV, there will be a veteran wrestling talent telling you that these dang-nab modern wrestlers are doing it all wrong.

And you know what? That's absolutely fine!

Seriously, wrestling has changed so much over the decades that it's perfectly natural for those who preferred the old days not to jive with the modern product. Some people like the days when no-one outside the industry knew what the word "kayfabe" meant; some prefer the instant gratification, car-crash TV of the Attitude era; and plenty of modern fans love the incredible in-ring action of the modern product.

Whatever era of wrestling you prefer, enjoy it! Heck, some of this writer's fondest wrestling memories have been formed by watching old matches recommended by curmudgeons such as Jim Cornette. (Whatever your opinions of the man, there's no doubt he and the Midnight Express were every bit as good as Cornette claims they were).

But while you're enjoying your wrestling, please allow modern fans to enjoy theirs as well. Wrestling is an ever-changing beast, and whatever it looks like in the future will be as alien to us as the sight of Orange Cassidy would have been to wrestling fans back in the eighties.

Wrestling will ?????? evolve. When the next generation of the sport rolls round, all you can really do is hope that the new fans will have as much fun with it as you did.
