10 Most Dangerous Wrestling Spots Of 2020
10. Cody Rhodes Takes AEW To New Heights - Dynamite (February 19)
Kicking off our list, let's venture back to a time when fans could actually pack themselves into arenas and produce deafening noises, capable of sending shivers up your spine in the wake of a jaw-dropping spot.
Back in February, Cody Rhodes was forced to jump through a very specific set of hoops in order to get his hands on MJF at the upcoming Revolution PPV: he couldn't put his hands on his former protégé until the aforementioned event, had to take ten lashings from a leather belt-wielding MJF, and, lastly, needed to overcome Wardlow in AEW's first-ever Steel Cage match on Dynamite.
It was in this hellacious Wednesday night war where Cody decided to pull something rather special out of his bag of tricks. After failing to conquer the bigger man with a Cross Rhodes, a blood-stained "American Nightmare" made his way to the top of the cage. He then proceeded to moonsault onto his opponent, winning the contest and causing the crowd to completely lose their minds in the process.
Falling from the top of a cage isn't exactly what you'd class as a safe manoeuvre at the best of times. But, seeing a star back-flip from the heavens, with only a big brutish beefcake to break their fall, was enough to make fans jump out of their seats and immediately need a lie down simultaneously.
Let's keep Cody away from cages in the future, though, OK?
