10 Most Decorated WWE Factions Ever
Strength in numbers often means titles-a-plenty (especially if you're The Game).
Factions have long been an important part of professional wrestling. The coming together of a number of talents to form a strong collective, stables have resurrected careers, given first glimpses of the spotlight to rising young stars and provided ample opportunities for babyfaces to overcome the odds by no-selling a DDT on the outside and then beating two men.
Ahem.
World Wrestling Entertainment has a long history of great and not-so-great stables, from the Heenan Family all the way to the League of Nations. More often than not these have been factions of heels, but there have also been some babyface groups. Either way, the strength in numbers has often led to men and women picking up championship gold.
But who are the most decorated stables in WWE history? We've seen all members of a faction carrying title belts on more than one occasion, but the short tenure of most factions means they haven't quite been as dominant as you would expect.
So here are the 10 most decorated factions in WWE history. Please note that only factions who won gold in WWE count, so you won't find the New World Order or the Four Horsemen in here. Heck, you won't even find the Millionaire's Club.
What you will find is a lot of heels and a lot of Triple H.
10. The Hart Foundation
In 1997, Bret Hart turned heel after failing to get the respect he felt he deserved from the fans. Taking on a new anti-American persona, Hart would interrupt a European Championship match between then-Tag Champions The British Bulldog and Owen Hart in an attempt to talk some sense into the brothers-in-law.
He succeeded, and the Hart Foundation was reborn, this time as a faction as opposed to a tag team.
Jim Neidhart and Brian Pillman would also join the group, but it was the initial three that carried the five championships won by the Hart Foundation. Along with the European Championship (Bulldog) and Tag Team Championship (Bulldog and Owen), Bret would win the WWF Championship and Owen the Intercontinental Championship (twice).
The group isn't remembered for winning all of the available titles in the promotion, but win them all they did. Legacy (Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase) also won five championships in WWE, but the greater number of different titles won by the Foundation means they make the list ahead of Orton & co.
