4. The Alliance - Steve Austin, Rob Van Dam, Kurt Angle, Booker T & Shane McMahon (2001) - 88 Titles
Another team that I felt might make it higher up on the list, the quintet representing The Alliance in 2001 come fourth. Steve Austin, Rob Van Dam, Kurt Angle, Booker T & Shane McMahon make for impressive reading, but they would eventually come up short against their equally illustrious opponents. It is the addition of Shane-O-Mac that drags their numbers down. Mr McMahon's son won two championships as an in-ring competitor in WWE, an impressive number for someone who wasn't really a wrestler but a tiny number in comparison to his teammates. Another surprise here is that despite having an incredible rookie year, Kurt Angle only won gold on 12 occasions in WWE. Colour me shocked.
