9. The IC Title Trend
If AJ Styles' Intercontinental Title reign isn't absolutely brilliant then WWE should remove the belt from their programming. That may seem over-the-top, but this on and off focus the once-proud title goes through is agonising for anyone who remembers what it used to stand for.
Forget playing favourites, because both Braun Strowman and Sami Zayn's reigns were a complete waste of everyone's time. Neither elevated the belt beyond midcard comedy status, and neither had a satisfying conclusion. That, even with Zayn's personal choices and sabbatical in mind, is still poor booking.
The IC Title deserves better.
Seeing Braun look like a happy child upon winning the thing was also dissatisfying; yes, he should be thrilled about fulfilling a childhood goal, but WWE only succeeded in making the title look like a trinket he just wanted a photograph with.
