Victim: Kane (& The WWE Universe) This angle has received more bad publicity over the years that Vladimir Putin. It's been 13 years now since WWE decided to have Triple H simulate sex with a mannequin effigy of a fictional dead person in a coffin and we're still no closer to understanding for the love of God why they did it. The 'idea' was simple. Have horrible heel Hunter play a hideous head game with his challenger for the World Heavyweight Title, Kane. To do this, Triple H made reference to an ex-girlfriend of Kane called Katie who died in an accident but Hunter tried to suggest he murdered her. It was that bad. One supposes when you exhibit an angle this bad you may as well go all the way with it. Hunter spoke to the mannequin live on Raw. He put on a Kane mask and f*cked her in the coffin. Finally, at the close of it all, they had a boring match at No Mercy where Triple H defeated Kane to retain his title when Ric Flair did a run-in. Wasn't worth it really, was it?
