10. Bart Gunn

Starting off with the man who inspired this list, Bart Gunn was the victim of impossible circumstances.

Competing in WWE's spectacularly ill-advised Brawl For All tournament, in which professional wrestlers fought shoot matches, Bart Gunn found himself in hot water after beating "Dr Death" Steve Williams. The doctor had been earmarked for a feud with Stone Cold, but his defeat at the hand of Gunn destroyed his credibility as a contender for the Texas Rattlesnake.

Gunn would go on to win the tournament, getting himself over in the process. WWE, however, were still pissed off at him for ruining their plans. In a spectacular example of biting their nose to spite their face, they had Bart Gunn (a professional wrestler) enter a boxing match against Butterbean (a boxer). As the video shows, the fight was every bit as one-sided as it sounds.

Punished for winning a tournament that should never have existed in the first place, Bart Gunn's humiliation at Wrestlemania is a sad reminder of how capricious professional wrestling, and the WWE in particular, can be.
