6. Edge Watches Christian Win World Heavyweight Title

It was a clear toss up between this moment and Adam 'Edge' Copeland's actual retirement speech for this entry, but there's a reason Christian's World Heavyweight Championship win got the nod. You see, Edge was involved in the closing moments of the match against Alberto Del Rio at Extreme Rules 2011, and an organically beautiful moment was created as he watched his lifelong friend, Jay 'Christian' Reso climb the ladder and realise his childhood ambitions.Pro wrestling may be scripted, but there was nothing forced about Edge's reaction to Christian's win, this was as real as it gets. Copeland and Reso had been buddies since childhood, growing up in Canada together and someday dreaming of working alongside one another in the WWF/WWE. Both would make it there, and both would become World Champions. It seems implausible to imagine that Christian would have been given the World Title had Edge not been forced to retire from active competition, because WWE don't really seem to see the guy as a main event level player. Nonetheless, it made perfect sense to give him the gold here, and even though he'd quickly lose it to Randy Orton on Smackdown, it was all worth it to see Edge watch his best friend's happiness.
