Wrestling's worst horrible bosses.

By Kieran Shiach /

The on-screen authority figure has been a staple in professional wrestling for over thirty years, and it€™s now hard to imagine a wrestling show that doesn€™t have a boss character to set up matches and keep the peace. There have been babyface bosses over the years, but nothing creates compelling drama than an evil boss and the crazier the better. A horrible boss gives underdog characters someone to triumph over, exists as someone for the more rebellious characters to defy and stars like €œStone Cold€ Steve Austin and Daniel Bryan wouldn€™t be the characters they became without a boss to cross. The greatest authority figure was without a doubt Mr. McMahon, who pretty much created the archetype and set the standard for all those that came after him. Now nearly twenty years later, his daughter and son-in-law have taken over as the literal Authority of the WWE and both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have grown into the role magnificently over the past year. The Authority have proved themselves to be one of the most effective forces in wrestling, but not everyone has taken to power as well as they have. Here are ten of the most ineffectual authority figures in wrestling history.
