Heading into WrestleMania 28, Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis and SmackDown General Manager Teddy Long were embroiled in a war for control of WWE's premiere brands. With Superstars and Divas alike pledging allegiances to the powerful personalities, the Brie and Nikki followed suit. Brie became the cheerleader for Team Johnny while Nikki supported the babyfaces on Team Teddy. Unfortunately for Nikki, it would be another Diva, Eve Torres, that had the greatest influence on the outcome of the Winner Takes All match. The former Divas champion entered the ring and distracted the surging Zack Ryder long enough for The Miz to score the win for his team. Nikki was forced to watch from ringside as Brie and the heels celebrated the victory, though the difference of opinions did not affect their relationship. It was a high profile spot on the one of the biggest WrestleMania cards of all-time, a spot in which they did the best with what they were given.
