For over one full calendar year, the 'Anonymous Raw General Manager' ruled with an iron first on Monday Night Raw. In June, 2010, the character was first introduced. Michael Cole would read out emails from this nameless authority figure, who would interrupt the show at random points to make matches and give messages. It was a compelling idea, but there was only one problem. The WWE creative team themselves didn't seem to have any clear idea who was supposed to be behind the unnamed GM. Eventually, in July, 2011, Hornswoggle was offered up as the one who controlled things from beneath the ring, which was clearly frustrating for fans. The diminutive star was not a good enough pay-off for people. As it turned out, WWE made the decision to have the idea return in late-2014. After The Authority had seemingly been vanquished at Survivor Series, Raw closed with the message that the anonymous power head promised to bring order into the company again. As of the publishing of this article, the promotion still haven't actually revealed who was behind it all.
