Story: Listen to man speak now, and it's clear that William Regal wasn't exactly in the best place in his life during the latter years of his WCW stint. Confronting the man was pretty much akin to poking a bear, and even though The Big Show wouldn't directly get in the face of the Englishman, his overall attitude irked Regal sufficiently. Complaining backstage about selling for the diminutive Rey Mysterio (which is ironic, given the fact the pair would work extensively with one another in WWE), Show wasn't afraid to let everyone know that he wasn't exactly thrilled at the prospect of making the smaller wrestler's offensive moves look threatening. Unhappy at the disrespectful nature of The Giant's words, Regal decided to get in his face, chewing the big man out and letting him know in no uncertain terms that he wasn't endearing himself to anyone in the locker room by acting this way. Why People Believe It: William Regal, then going under the moniker of Steven Regal in WCW, apparently didn't take too kindly to the idea of people being disrespectful towards the pro wrestling business. Another incident, also involving Bill Goldberg, has plagued the man since his WCW tenure. Reportedly going into business for himself, Regal wrestled rings around Goldberg, but has since stated that he was told to do this backstage. Whatever the case, Regal comes from a different era to men such as The Big Show and Goldberg, a more protective one. It's entirely believable that he'd stand up for Mysterio, someone he respects. Should We Believe It: This is a story that seems to make sense. On one hand, it's very likely that The Big Show was walking around with an attitude in WCW, because he had the world at his feet. On the other, Regal wasn't ever going to take kindly to someone blatantly showing disrespect to someone he liked.
