8. Played A Part In Owen Hart Rib On The British Bulldogs
Story: Backstage, Jake 'The Snake' Robert was notorious for ribbing other wrestlers. One evening, Jake decided that he'd had enough of The Dynamite Kid's attitude. At the time, Dynamite and his partner Davey Boy Smith were riding high as The British Bulldogs. In order to add an animal mascot to the gimmick, WWF officials had Davey and Dynamite accompanied by a genuine bulldog to the ring. Known as 'Matilda', the mutt was an unfortunate part of one rib on the English wrestlers. Egging Owen Hart on, Jake was responsible for the dog being fed laxatives. Reportedly, this made Smith and Kid's night a long one back at the hotel. Why People Believe It: Jake Roberts has long been associated with this particular prank. In interviews, he has noted that he didn't like The Dynamite Kid as a person, but did respect his in-ring ability. Wrestling was a different world in the late-80's, so incidents like this aren't outside the realm of possibility. Should We Believe it: Yes, there's every chance that Jake was involved. Further to that, the man has even admitted as such during various shoot interviews.
