10 Most Notoriously Awful WWE Entrance Themes
Burping, flushing toilets, asses, car alarms, sexual chocolate and...Irish jigs!?
The art of the wrestling entrance theme has been perfected many times by World Wrestling Entertainment. More often than not, Jim Johnston has got things entirely spot on when composing music for the colourful stars on the promotion's roster over the years. Working for the McMahon family since 1985, Johnston has put together memorable themes for everyone from 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin to Shawn Michaels. Instantly, these musical pieces became timeless. As soon as that glass shattered, people knew Austin was on his way down to ringside. The guitar riff which accompanied the wailing sirens and mayhem was decidedly bad-ass, and served to fit his character perfectly. Unfortunately, not every character can be as fine-tuned as Stone Cold was. This list focuses on those unfortunate souls. Incredibly, not every entrance theme on this list is forgettable, that's not why they're featured. There may even be some fans who enjoyed these characters, but nobody can deny that the music was awful. When WWE fans talk about the worst the promotion has had to offer, many of the names included in this article regularly come up. This is a light-hearted look at some themes the company should be ashamed of, because they're so notoriously cheesy, or just damn rotten.
