During his run as one half of the 'New Age Outlaws', Billy Gunn reinvented himself as 'Bad Ass'. This fit in with the 'Attitude Era', especially when the duo became members of D-Generation X in early-1998. Undeniably cool, the Outlaws were one of the most popular acts on the entire roster. Things changed a little for Billy when he split from Road Dogg and tried to fly solo. Over time, Gunn's character had developed into one that seemed obsessed with his own behind. His new nickname became 'Mr. Ass', and he was give a piece of entrance music that has gone down in company folklore. WWE themselves have even poked fun at the music on their YouTube channel, saying it's unbelievable a male wrestler tried to get over as a babyface by shouting about how good his ass was. With lyrics such as, 'I love to love 'em, I love to kick 'em, I love to shove 'em, I love to stick 'em', there was no denying that the song was penned in just a few minutes. Later lyrics also reveal that Billy Gunn likes to 'pick 'em', which is more disgusting than anything else. The gimmick didn't last long, before the WWF decided to put the Outlaws back together as a team.
