Question: To this day, wrestling enthusiasts simply cannot stop talking about the glory days of the 'Attitude' Era. The beginning of that particular era is sketchy, although most closely link the rise of D-Generation X and Steve Austin as a formative point. Since 2008, WWE have decided to move away from many of the traits associated with 'Attitude'. One thing is for sure, many people have been clamouring for the return of that time period, citing it as the most exciting in WWE history. These days, the promotion carries a 'PG' certificate, meaning much of the colourful language, nudity and violence of the 'Attitude' Era isn't allowed. Will WWE ever return to that kind of product, or is 'PG' here to stay? Answer: There's a chance that WWE will never return to 'Attitude', just as they may never return to the way things were in the 1980's and early-90's. Things move on over time, and the organisation seem quite content with the way things are now. Due to their 'PG' leanings, the company are able to appeal to sponsors who would traditionally never go near WWE. They also have a highly-lucrative toy deal with Mattel that would have to be sacrificed should they return to a TV-14 rating.
