10 Most Ridiculous Wrestling Finishing Moves Ever

6. The Iron Claw

Used by classic villains such as Killer Kowalski, Fritz Von Erich and Baron Von Raschke, The Iron Claw eventually became the signature move of The Von Erich family. Despite the fact that their father had played an unreconstructed Nazi villain for years, the Von Erich kids were all young, good looking babyfaces. ...This meant that the small amount of sense that The Iron Claw had once made, was now completely obliterated. Essentially, the move involves grabbing an opponent€™s face and €˜crushing€™ his head with your amazing muscle and tendon strength. So, basically, you€™re just grabbing a guy€™s face. It€™s annoying, yes, but hardly worth a pinfall. No, your target doesn€™t kick you in the nuts, bite your hand or even hit you, its just pure, uninterrupted face-grabbery. Apparently, the force of the Iron Claw is so great that all you can do when it is applied is crumple to the mat and lose consciousness.Still, despite the fact that the move is utterly ridiculous, The Iron Claw was hugely over for decades. So over was The Claw, in fact, that legendary villain Baron Von Raschke used to do a spot where he€™d attempt to hit a guy with the move, they€™d duck and he€™d end up with his hand gripping the turnbuckle pad, as if he was unable to release his mighty grip!
