4. Bryan Alvarez Predicts AEW...

...in 2011.

Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter wasn't in the best of places in 2011 because pro wrestling sucked so much sh*t back then its breath probably still stinks.

TNA was deep in its woeful Hogan n' Bischoff connection period. That sh*t made the Vince McMahon of 2019 look as cutting edge as early '80s Bill Watts. WWE meanwhile promised change but eventually booked the face of the revolution, CM Punk, as a f*cking scab on television. He crossed the pocket line and into the corporate bosom of a man, Triple H, he had referred to as a doofus several months prior.

2011 was the year in which the old sh*thead kingpins of US TV grew rather tired of your whiny sh*t and told you, in front of the cameras, to go f*ck yourself in the ear, not that you'd reach it with that little toe you call a d*ck, you pathetic marks.

So it was perhaps out of hope, rather than prescient expectation, that Alvarez despaired and wondered why a company like AEW could not exist.

"There is no reason that you can't create a wrestling product where you get all of the guys together and you say: "Do what you wanna do. Create your own character. Be yourself with the volume turned up. This can still be done. This is not an antiquated notion. Maybe one of these days, someone's gonna have some money and give this a shot. I honest to God think that one day, there'll be another great wrestling promotion again. There are enough people who remember how it used to be."
