Those who only experienced Yoshihiro Tajiri in the WWF/WWE would be forgiven for looking at the picture above and theorising that he changed his look upon joining that promotion. In actual fact, he traded the trunks and blue aesthetic for black trousers and facial hair shortly after this ECW match against Super Crazy. Years earlier, Paul Heyman's organisation had become renowned for allowing guys like Rey Mysterio and Juventud Guerrera to cut their teeth as performers in North America. Subsequently, both men were then signed by WCW. The likes of Tajiri and Super Crazy represented Heyman's next shot at making Cruiserweights a success in his company. It shows the variation on ECW cards that this 10 minute stunner was followed up by Sid Vicious squashing John Kronus in a little over 60 seconds. The action was fluid between the Japanese Tajiri and his Mexican counterpart. ECW fans were treated to different wrestling styles aplenty over the years, and it's clear from watching this one that WWE sometimes misses the dynamic differences the Cruiserweights can bring.
