10 Most Underrated ECW Revival Championship Matches

5. Christian vs. William Regal (ECW: November 10, 2009)

During his record-setting reign as ECW champion, Christian defended against all opposition in the Land of Extreme, but his greatest challenge came in the form of one William Regal. Sure, both were past their prime at this point in their respective careers, but they could still deliver a better match than a good portion of the roster. They proved that in their ECW Championship clash at Breaking Point, and although Christian emerged victorious, Regal's title aspirations were far from over. In the months that followed, Regal continued to target the champ, often letting loose his henchmen Vladimir Kozlov and Ezekiel Jackson on him. After a while, he agreed to grant the evil Englishman one last shot at the gold on the Nov. 10 edition of ECW, which would emanate from Regal's home turf of England. Despite the home field advantage for Regal, the momentum was constantly shifting between the two Superstars with every nearfall each of them got over the other. Regal came his closest to winning the gold on that night, but evidently not close enough; Christian planted the former Raw general manager with a Killswitch to score the victory and keep his title run going strong.
