3. Stevie Ray (Harlem Heat)

Harlem Heat proved, if nothing else, that sometimes success in this business is a really fickle thing to try and capture. Because Stevie Ray seemed like the obvious star of this pairing in the beginning. Even if all he had was "the look," that was enough to carry a helluva lot of other big guys into the spotlight. But Stevie Ray was capable of putting on fantastic matches with or without his brother by his side. (Honestly, what other "big guy" from that era in WCW could move the way Stevie Ray did?) It's just that people didn't really care to watch Stevie Ray if Booker T was nowhere in sight. Though they had a ton of success as a team in WCW, once Booker T went solo, his big brother faded away from the spotlight almost entirely, resigned to a bit role in the nWo. He never really got his mojo back after that, which is such a shame because Stevie Ray deserved a better run than he was given. Ironically, it was his success in Harlem Heat that would lead him into obscurity a short time later.
