Being able to produce a good promo is pretty much a requirement if you want to succeed in professional wrestling, let alone at the high level WWE operates. Even the menacing giants our good friend Vince McMahon adores must now have great verbal skills, not just height and mass. As a result, the past ten years have provided a large number of excellent promos for WWE fans to become engrossed by, so much so that a quick trip onto YouTube can leave you trapped in a WWE promo rabbit hole. We all know about the likes of CM Punk€™s Pipe Bomb, John Cena and The Rock€™s whimsical exchanges and Paul Heyman€™s impassioned speeches, all of which have been the centre of attention in recent times, but why should they get all the kudos? They're not the be all and end all, folks. There have been countless displays of microphone mastery since 2006 that have, sadly, slipped the memories of the everyday wrestling fan for one reason or another. These examples tick all the right boxes for what makes a fantastic promo.
