As a native of Fiji, its possible that English may not have been Superfly Jimmy Snukas first language but that only means he should have practiced his promos a little longer before taking the mic. This is a case in point in hyping his upcoming match with Sgt. Slaughter in late 1983, Snuka wants to let the Sarge know that hes got him figured out, that hes not in Snukas head. Its promo 101: the babyface is on the ropes in the lead up to the big fight but unbowed and looking forward to kicking some tail. Simple enough, right? Nope. Grimly focused on the camera, practically unblinking, Snuka evinces true 1980s babyface nobility, while almost completely failing to say anything intelligible at all. Also notable for the introduction by white meat announcer Vinnie McMahon, who looks so clean cut and adorable that even the Bret Hart of Christmas 1997 would have trusted him.
