10 Most WTF Promos In Wrestling

6. Superfly By The Seat Of His Pants

As a native of Fiji, it€™s possible that English may not have been €˜Superfly€™ Jimmy Snuka€™s first language€ but that only means he should have practiced his promos a little longer before taking the mic. This is a case in point €“ in hyping his upcoming match with Sgt. Slaughter in late 1983, Snuka wants to let the Sarge know that he€™s got him figured out, that he€™s not in Snuka€™s head. It€™s promo 101: the babyface is on the ropes in the lead up to the big fight but unbowed and looking forward to kicking some tail. Simple enough, right? Nope. Grimly focused on the camera, practically unblinking, Snuka evinces true 1980s babyface nobility, while almost completely failing to say anything intelligible at all. Also notable for the introduction by white meat announcer €˜Vinnie€™ McMahon, who looks so clean cut and adorable that even the Bret Hart of Christmas 1997 would have trusted him.
