10 Must-See WWE Matches, Moments & Segments From This Week

2. The Owens-Jericho Best-Friendship Nears Closer To Its Break-Up

As famous as Chris Jericho has become for his "List" in the last several weeks, we could make a longer list all of our own of his memorable segments in 2016, particularly since he freshened up his persona in March. It may be a broken record, but it still sounds good to play the familiar tune of "Y2J was one of the best things about Raw this week."

At this rate, it would not be surprising if Jericho ended up factoring more specifically into the Hell in a Cell match between Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens next Sunday, perhaps in a guest referee capacity. The tension between Jericho and Owens is rising by the week and at no point was it teased more heavily then this week, when Owens was explicitly asked by Jericho to stay in the back for Y2J vs. Rollins: The Rematch, only for the Universal Champion to get involved at ringside yet again to the detriment of his so-called best friend.

The interaction between Jericho and Owens to begin the night subtly hinted at simmering tension and, by segment's end, Y2J was unleashing noticeable frustration. The backstage segment later on in the show was perfectly executed escalation resulting from Owens ignoring Jericho's earlier request. The chemistry between JeriKO is excellent and not one of their segments on Raw was skippable.
