4. Shane McMahon's Lockbox
Lord only knows what secrets are in the McMahon family lockbox. To that point, only a deity would know if such a secretive stash even exists. It was certainly discussed enough when Shane returned to WWE programming in 2016 and threatened to reveal his father's big secrets to the world if he didn't book a 'Mania match against The Undertaker.
Vince, seemingly rattled, reluctantly agreed when 'Taker helped heap pressure on him.
That'd be the last time the curious lockbox was mentioned as part of the storyline. WWE pivoted towards the more natural tale of Shane's devil-may-care attitude and The Undertaker's willingness to shut Vince's son down on the biggest show of the year. Whatever was in the box would have to wait.
Fans are still waiting in 2019. The reputation-destroying secrets were never revealed, and everyone moved on as though they had never been mentioned after WrestleMania 32. So much for that, eh? What an absolute cluster.
