10 Nasty Wrestling Bumps Nobody Talks About

The Undertaker put his life on the line at One Night Stand 2008...

Tumbling through the air, Mick Foley eventually smashed through the Spanish announce table and lay in a crumpled, battered heap. Looking down on his peer, The Undertaker couldn't hide concern from the top of the Hell In A Cell structure.

Later in that same match at King Of The Ring 1998, Foley would crash through the top of the cage and hit the canvas below. Everyone collectively gasped, unable to comprehend what they had just witnessed.

Neither of those crazy bumps will ever be forgotten, and they're written into the psyche of almost every wrestling fan. Foley himself has spoken at length about that pay-per-view, eerily unable to remember portions of one of his most famous bouts.

Big bumps are commonplace, but what of those falls that don't receive much recognition? All featured here were shockingly painful examples of nasty bumps, but they're hardly ever recalled the same way Foley's descent from the top of Hell In A Cell has been.

Lost to the sands of time, let's examine 10 unnerving bumps that just looked plain nasty...

10. Kane (WWF Fully Loaded 1999)

On the surface, most wrestling fans wouldn't imagine that a match between Kane and The Big Show would feature any major bumps. A slow, plodding affair was to be expected heading into Fully Loaded 1999, and - for the most part - that's exactly what was on offer.

The story going into the match also revolved around Hardcore Holly's involvement, as he was the Special Guest Referee for the scrap. Taking place smack bang in the middle of the card, Kane vs. Show was only a few minutes old when the latter hurled his opponent out of the ring. It turned out to be one of the biggest bumps Kane would ever take.

Pushed high in a Gorilla Press by Big Show, the masked man was dumped out of the ring onto the floor below. Landing on his back, Kane didn't sell the bump for too long until he was back in the ring. That's amazing, because it looked really painful.

Kane fell a good 10 feet from above Big Show's head to the ringside mats. That had to hurt more than he let on.
