10 Negatives Heading Into WrestleMania 33
10. Guys Getting Lost In The Shuffle
Coming out of this year’s Royal Rumble, there seemed to be a number of fresh faces on the cusp of something special. Braun Strowman was looking pretty much unstoppable, Samoa Joe had just debuted on the main roster and was bulldozing through any and all challengers, while over on SmackDown, Luke Harper was finally getting the chance to break out as a babyface singles star.
And yet, fast forward to today with WrestleMania on the horizon, and none of those three has anything of note scheduled for the show.
They have essentially made way for bigger stars—the Undertaker, Triple H, Randy Orton—and seen the feuds in which they were previously involved fizzle out into nothing. Now, they’ll probably have to settle for a spot in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, rubbing shoulders with jobbers like Jinder Mahal, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.
Ultimately, and despite showing such promise, they’ve managed to get lost in the shuffle that is the WrestleMania match-making process, and given where they were just a few months back, that can only be seen as a bad thing.
