10 New Directions For WWE After Survivor Series: WarGames 2023
2. Randy Orton Going Heel?
There's always a chance Orton won't be babyface for too long.
What's that? WWE would be mad to ignore a few months of babyface return matches against members of Judgment Day and maybe even old foe Drew McIntyre? Sure, but they'll burn through all of those fairly quickly, and what's next for Randy will be a pressing matter during creative meetings.
Here's a random thought: What if Orton eventually comes around to Drew's thinking on Jey Uso and the pair form some sort of new-fangled 'Two Man Power Trip' union for a spell? That obviously depends on McIntyre signing a fresh WWE contract, but it isn't too fanciful to imagine.
WWE would have to jump through some narrative hoops in order to get there, of course. Dunno, there's just something about Orton as a cold-blooded snake who delights in being a bad guy that sounds right. He's way better as a villain than a babyface, and always has been.
