10 Next-Level Tweaks That Took Wrestlers From Lame To Cool As F***
10. Steve Austin Shaves His Head
Before he was opening up cans of whoop-ass and just generally raising hell on WWE programming throughout the Attitude Era, Steve Austin was struggling to make a rather lame 'Ringmaster' gimmick work on Vince McMahon's product.
And in the end, the future World Champion realised he was going nowhere fast in this particular role.
So, after fighting a losing battle with his hair for years, Austin eventually decided to bite the bullet and shave his buzz cut off to the point where he was completely bald.
Though he'd still strut into arenas as Ted DiBiase's Million Dollar Champion, simply tweaking that already short hairstyle to a completely hairless one swiftly transformed Austin into a badass looking S.O.B.
And it was only a matter of time before WWE dropped the 'Ringmaster' gimmick entirely after that hair disappeared, with the company soon rechristening this menacing figure as 'Stone Cold' as Austin eventually added a goatee and fiery attitude to this always-evolving character.
Had Austin not decided to pull out the clippers back in 1996 and get the ball rolling on this inspired change of character via that superb tweak, though, there's a good chance 'The Texas Rattlesnake' would have never been born.
