A total of nine NXT wrestlers have today been released by WWE.

Fightful Select broke the news, starting with Dakota Kai and Malcolm Bivens, the latter of which has departed the promotion after rejecting a contract extension. It has now come to light that the following names have been let go as well:-

- Paige Prinzivalli

- Sanjana George

- Draco Anthony

- Harland

- Persia Pirotta

- Raelyn Divine

- Mila Malani

- Dexter Lumis

Perhaps the most surprising of these is Harland. Pinpointed as the next Brock Lesnar years before even signing with WWE, Parker Boudreaux earned Paul Heyman's endorsement and appeared to be star-bound in the world's biggest promotion, though his televised presentation did him no favours. Cast as Harland and paired with Joe Gracy, the big man struggled to get over through suboptimal ring and character work - and had been missing from television for the bulk of Gacy's current storyline with NXT Champion Bron Breakker.

Pirotta and Lumis run Harland close, surprise-wise, as they were weekly fixtures alongside Duke Hudson and Indi Hartwell. Anthony, meanwhile, is a semi-regular enhancement talent on NXT 2.0.

The reasons behind this latest round of WWE roster cuts are yet to come to life.
