Its one thing to really hate your opponent, but its another thing to try and kill the guy. During the Attitude Era, The Rock and Steve Austin were at each others throats over the WWE Championship. They did just about everything they could to each other in order to prove that they were the best in professional wrestling. During one particular edition of Monday Night Raw The Rock, who held Austins Smoking Skull title hostage, stood next to a bridge and threatened to throw it over if Austin didnt come find him. Austin not only arrived, but he ran right to Rock looking to exact some physical revenge and get his title back. Rock retaliated and knocked Austin over the bridge; Austin gripped the edge, but Rock wouldnt allow him to hold on for a second longer, uttering go to Hell, flipping the bird, and punching him off the bridge. Austin fell into the murky waters below, and just to add insult to potential injury, Rock grabbed Austins title and threw it over with him. It was a very shocking and unexpected moment that made an already personal feud even more volatile. Fortunately Austin wasnt seriously hurt, and in the weeks to come Austin would see fit to open up a few more cans of whoop-ass.
